|
This course has been approved by CESA and accredited with 1 CPD credit - SAACE-046-10/08
"A very needed and appropriate course in the time that the industry finds itself in. In addition, I must commend Ron Watermeyer on the way he has packaged and presents what would otherwise be a laborious subject"
Adrian Peters - Head Engineer, eThekwini Municipality
All organs of state are required by law to apply the CIDB Standard for Uniformity in Construction Procurement when tenders are called for and when tenders are evaluated. Consultants and clients alike need to understand the processes, procedures and methods that are described in this standard. This one day course outlines the philosophy and thinking behind the standard methods for procurement and the standard conditions of tender contained in the February 2008 edition of this standard. It also provides insights into procurement processes, methods and procedures and offers a systematic step by step approach to the manner in which tenders that are received are to be processed and evaluated. It also offers a systematic step by step approach to the manner in which the CIDB Register of Contractors is to be applied in the tender process. Comments received from previous presentations to those involved in major infrastructure programmes include:
- Very informative and helpful in clearing up issues where confusion has been experienced. Clearly and concisely spells out responsibilities. - All commercial / procurement staff and project staff involved in procurement must attend. An absolute eye opener. - This was a first class learning experience. What was learned today will help enormously in future programme documentation, etc. - The training was very informative and well structured. One has gained most, if not all, knowledge required in dealing with tender issues from advertising to accepting the tender offer.
This is a unique opportunity for consultants and clients alike to improve their understanding and knowledge of soliciting and evaluating tender offers.
