The CESA Women’s Forum was successfully launched in October at a function held in Midrand, that was sponsored by Aon and Knight Piésold. The first Women’s Forum was held in November, hosted at Matleng Energy Solution’s offices in Woodmead. The objective of the Forum is to provide women in the consulting engineering industry with structured support.
Speakers at Women’s Forum launch event included CESA Past President, Lynne Pretorius who provided a formal introduction and and explanation of the ‘Road to the CESA Women’s Forum’; MPA CEO, Malani Padayachee-Saman discussed ‘Female Leadership in your own company’; CSV Water Associate Director, Dr Michele Kruger provided an explanation of ‘What is the CESA Women’s Forum?’ and Dr Hannelie Nel, Director at Tenneli discussed ‘Female Leadership Training to be given at the CESA School’.
Following on from the success of the launch event the first networking session was sponsored by and held at Matleng Energy Solution’s offices in Woodmead. Dr Michele Kruger was MC for the day and provided the introduction to a packed audience. Speakers included Nelisiwe Magubane, Chairperson of Matleng Energy Solutions discussing the Energy Landscape in South Africa; Refilwe Mokgosi from the City of Tshwane discussing the AMEU Women in Electrical Engineering programme; Doris Msibi from the Image Firm discussed Personal Branding; with Corrie van der Wath, Matleng’s CEO presenting My Map is not my Territory to delegates. |
