The Free State branch is home to YP\u2019s<\/span> employed by CESA<\/span> member firms in all Free State Towns including Bloemfontein<\/span>, Frankfort, Kroonstad<\/span>, Welkom<\/span>, Harrismith<\/span>, Phuthaditjhaba<\/span>, Bethlehem, Sasolburg<\/span> and Parys<\/span>. Our activities are also open to Public Body young employees, Contractor youth and Young professionals employed in State Owned Enterprises.<\/div>\n

CESA YPF Free State Events<\/strong>

1. Central University of Technology Career Roadshow<\/strong><\/p>\n

The YPF Free State Branch had a wonderful experience at the Central University of Technology Career Roadshow in Bloemfontein on the 7th of May 2024. We had the opportunity to connect with students from the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment, and Information Technology. Our team was thrilled to offer career guidance, engage in insightful conversations, network, and share our passion for the engineering and technology sectors.<\/p>\n

Additionally, we provided interested students with -branded informational booklets, pens, and USB drives to further support their career exploration. Thank you to SMEC and BVi for representing and sponsoring gifts. Several students also enquired about job shadowing and received opportunities to work with SMEC for two weeks under the Urban Development department.<\/span>

Join fellow YPF<\/span> as we present to Engineering students at the University with the aim of attracting the most extraordinary graduates into the consulting industry as well as recruit members to join the YPF<\/span>. This is in line with our intention to maintain a close relationship with academic Institutions and remain at the forefront of technical innovation in all fields of engineering. This will also give imminent graduates an opportunity to interact with graduate engineers and exchange experiences about career choices and what to expect in the working world. 4. Strategic Kick Off Meeting, 29 January 2015<\/strong><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
On 29 January 2015, the FSYPF<\/span> met for a strategic planning meeting which was held at Hamilton Park. The purpose of this meeting was to have an informal opening event and to discuss an events calendar for the year.  As a young and rapidly expanding branch, we are proud to report that the level of enthusiasm and participation shown by our members is pleasing. As a result of this, the need to establish a Free State branch committee was raised and agreed upon. Having a formal structure will assist in mending any communication gaps, have a representation from various companies, control administrative issues, track our progress and enable delegation of tasks as we grow further as a branch.<\/div>\n
The topics discussed in the meeting were positively embraced. These included:<\/div>\n
\u00b7         Establishing a Free State branch commit<\/div>\n
\u00b7         Hosting an educational event<\/div>\n
\u00b7         Focusing on the professional development of our members<\/div>\n
\u00b7         Participating projects that will fulfil<\/span> social responsibility<\/div>\n
\u00b7         Mentoring of aspiring engineers<\/div>\n
\u00b7         Personal Development<\/div>\n
\u00b7         Awareness of national events<\/div>\n
\u00b7         Competitions<\/div>\n
\u00b7         Site visits<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
To effectively implement these events and successfully achieve our objectives as a branch we depend on the continuous support and commitment of our fellow YPs<\/span> and their respective companies.<\/div>\n
It is important to highlight that the branch has been active and vibrant thus far and we are looking forward to a productive year where we all will influence and impact each other within our respective fields.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
