President of CESA Neresh Pather, presented his presidential message and theme for the year focusing on Effective Ethical Leadership with the theme of ‘Our Future is Now!’ to the media at a function held at the end of January in Gauteng. He stated that change can be effected if we believe in it and work hard enough to achieve it and that with great leadership we can succeed!

CESA supports Ramaphosa's call for Ethical behaviour and Ethical Leadership

CESA is encouraged by the impassioned call from President Cyril Ramaphosa for commitment to ethical behaviour and ethical leadership, a call which resonates strongly with that expressed by our own leadership. We also commend President Ramaphosa for stating that infrastructure investment is key to growing the economy. We welcome the intervention to decisively stabilise and revitalise State Owned Enterprises as well as those implicated in State Capture.

MEC Speaks at CESA Infrastructure Indaba– Engineering the Future now!

MEC for Infrastructure Development in Gauteng Jacob Mamabolo, Keynote Speaker at the 7th Annual CESA Infrastructure Indaba, that took place at Southern Sun, OR Tambo International, told the conference that it gives him pleasure to spend time with fellow industry players especially consulting engineers and built environment professionals “as we seek ways to improve our work in the delivery of infrastructure projects that are a key anchor and an enabler to a growing a thriving economy”.

CESA Infrastructure Indaba – Stakeholder Leadership and Collaboration for Infrastructure Delivery

Day 2 of the 7th Annual CESA Infrastructure Indaba that took place at Southern Sun, OR Tambo International, focused on Leadership and the Politics of Infrastructure. In his closing remarks, Neresh Pather, CESA’s President, summed up the outcomes of the conference stating, “A strong theme of Collaboration for Infrastructure Delivery emerged from the conference with Government calling on the private sector to assist in providing both leadership, knowledge and capacity to Local, Provincial and National Government levels.

CESA and SAICE to sign a MOU for closer Collaboration
|
CESA and the South African Institution of Civil Engineering are in the process of preparing a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at developing closer cooperation between the 2 industry organisations. The MOU is being developed further to a meeting that was recently held to discuss area of synergies aimed at closer cooperation in working together to serve the interests of the organisation’s respective members. |

Resolutions from the CESA Infrastructure Indaba

The 2018 CESA Infrastructure Indaba brought together leading experts including government officials, consulting engineers and built environment professionals for the purpose of improving the delivery and management of public infrastructure. These interactions resulted in the adoption of conference resolutions aimed at improving infrastructure development.

Last year, BVi was proud to achieve the distinction of having delivered half a century of outstanding engineering excellence. To celebrate their 50th anniversary, the company invited 50 schools from the seven regions in which they operate to participate in an exciting essay competition for grade 11 learners.

Engineering consultancy, Knight Piésold’s office located in Sandton was the venue for the CESA Young Professionals Forum (YPF) meet and greet on the 13th March. The event also provided a platform to display the recent launch of Knight Piésold’s new brand identity, marking the most significant change in the company’s visual identity in 27 years.
