A student has the right to disagree with an assignment outcome, opinion, or judgement, and to express any dissatisfaction with a facilitator, Programme Convenor, Module Convenor or the CESA SCE staff that relates to the spirit of the laid down Rules and Regulations of the BCE MDP.
A grievance may be lodged by following the process outlined below:
- If a student has a grievance, this must first be discussed with the Lead Convenor in order to find a mutually satisfactory solution.
- If a student is not happy with the result of the outcome of the discussion, the grievance should be put in writing and presented to the CESA’s Education & Training Manager.
- The CESA’s Education & Training Manager will call a meeting with the parties concerned and facilitate the meeting.
- Should a resolution not be found, the parties can appeal to the CESA Education and Training Committee to resolve the grievance.
- The outcome of the appeal to the CESA Education and Training Committee to resolve the grievance is final and binding upon the parties concerned.
