FIDIC Certified Consulting Engineer program

The FIDIC Certified Consulting Engineer program is tailored for qualified engineers in senior executive roles within consulting engineering services. This certification validates expertise in managing both business and technical facets of engineering or construction projects.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Experience: Minimum of five years in consulting engineering within the infrastructure sector.
  • Education: Degree or diploma in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), or related fields.
  • Professional Qualification: Possession of a professional engineering license or qualification, such as Chartered or Professional Engineer status. In regions without such certifications, membership in a nationally recognized engineering registry or inclusion on government-approved engineering supplier lists is acceptable.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is required.

Application Process

Applicants must provide:

  1. Professional Experience Documentation: A detailed CV or a declaration signed by a supervisor, confirming the requisite consulting engineering experience.
  2. Educational Credentials: Copies of diplomas or degrees, including institution details, qualification title, candidate’s name, and issuance date.
  3. Professional Certification: Proof of engineering qualifications, membership in recognized registries, or listing on approved supplier lists.

Documents not in English must be accompanied by official translations.

Fee Structure

  • Application Fee: CHF 50 (non-refundable), payable upon application submission.
  • Examination Fee: CHF 1,275, due before the exam; this includes certification costs.
  • Retake Policy: One complimentary retake is allowed. Subsequent retakes are CHF 637.50 each.
