Overview

This short course covers the technical design of hybrid energy distribution systems to relevant standards, including electrical clearances, electrical and mechanical loadings, earthing, environmental considerations, minor civil co-ordination aspects and the handling of waterway, and other crossings. It also includes the necessary established procedures to ensure the line design conforms to specific organisational technical standards, operational and system planning requirements and incorporates the principles of safe design.  Budget control and management, protection and maintenance.
