Mastering NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC)

Overview

The NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) represents a modern, flexible and collaborative approach to construction contracting. It departs from traditional adversarial models and integrates project management principles, risk management, and legal clarity into a single contract system.
This course provides a structured and practical understanding of NEC3 ECC, focusing not only on the wording of the contract, but on:

  • how it operates in practice
  • how it interfaces with South African law and procurement
  • how it should be administered to avoid disputes

The course is delivered in an interactive format, combining legal analysis, contract deconstruction, and practical application.
