CESA School of

Consulting Engineering (SCE)

There have been a number of changes at CESA over the past year, including the loss of our Training &
Education Manager, Brenda Lacey-Smith, and our Training Coordinator, Mary Maabane.

During the past few months Mr Ntake Moloi assisted with the SCE Training School on a fixed term contract
which concluded at the end of February 2015. The current position is that we are still looking for a suitable
and permanent replacement for the position of Education & Training Manager. In the interim Sue Davis,
Finance & Admin Manager has been appointed as Acting Education & Training Manager.

We have started with renewing SLA’s, confirming courses and dates etc. Our marketing strategy is being
investigated and we already have some exciting new promotional ideas. Our branch chairpersons around
the country have shown great enthusiasm in assisting with sourcing delegates in their areas, as well as
selecting and promoting courses.

Any feedback, positive or negative, is welcomed as this will assist us to address pressing issues in an
