Our chairperson, Uzair Osman, attended the FIDIC Global Infrastructure Conference 2024, held in Geneva, Switzerland.

Before the main event Uzair participated in the Future Leaders’ Conference, a session for emerging industry leaders.  Congratulations to Omaira Jajbhay and Uzair Osman, whose papers were published in the Future leaders’ Conference Journal. The Main conference, which was held from the 9-10 September 2024, bringing together 600 representatives from 50 countries.

The event provided valuable networking opportunities, connecting engineers, clients, and legal professionals in the industry. Discussions covered AI-driven problem-solving, sustainability, and people-focused engineering. Experiencing Geneva’s transport system firsthand was also insightful.

A key takeaway was understanding global challenges in the engineering sector, including staff retention, generational communication gaps, and supporting neurodivergent employees. Hearing diverse perspectives was an eye-opening experience, making this conference a truly enriching opportunity.
