CESA’s School of Consulting Engineering achieves B-BBEE Level 2 certification

24 April 2025 – Consulting Engineers South Africa (CESA) is proud to announce that its School of Consulting Engineering (SCE), has successfully obtained a Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Level 2 certification. This achievement reflects the organisation’s commitment to promoting economic transformation and inclusivity in South Africa.

“Given our focus on promoting professionalism and quality in the built environment, it is also our aim to enhance economic inclusivity and transformation. Our advocacy for collaboration and good governance practices aligns with the broader goals of B-BBEE, which seeks to address historical economic imbalances,” notes CESA CEO Chris Campbell.

Achieving a B-BBEE Level 2 certification is a significant milestone for the SCE, he adds, noting that it underscores the organisation’s dedication to contributing to South Africa’s economic transformation.

“By offering comprehensive training programmes that enhance technical competencies and equips young engineers with essential management and entrepreneurial skills, our graduates are well-rounded and prepared to excel in the consulting engineering industry,” adds Campbell.
