CESA continues to play a leading role at FIDIC with Chris Campbell, CESA CEO, chairing the proceedings at the meeting of Directors and Secretaries of all FIDIC Member Associations across the globe. In addition, both Olu Soluade, CESA President and Chris Campbell represented CESA at various meetings at the FIDIC General Assembly of at least 100 member countries. CESA continues to maintain its rating among the top 10 Member Associations of FIDIC, an achievement consistent with the fact that the engineering prowess of our member companies is revered both locally and internationally. The FIDIC Conference covered diverse themes, ranging from climate change to smart designs, to contracting in a post Covid World and even discussed resource challenges being faced globally at a time when many countries have focused on economic recovery through infrastructure development, to cite but a few. This conference provided a refreshing approach by incorporating dialogue, rather than the traditional monologue style of conference. The opportunity for re-establishing old relationships and building new networks, among the no less than 400 attendees was certainly a highlight. CESA members companies that attended found the conference to be a worthwhile investment. CESA  encourages many more of our members to consider attending the FIDIC conference in 2023 which is planned to take place in Singapore early in September 2023. The 2022 conference was oversubscribed and FIDIC have already started taking bookings for next year’s conference in order to accommodate increasing numbers  as we return to the in-person normality that best fosters relationships and business networking.
