This annual conference has each year been endorsed by the Minister of Public Works, the Honourable, Mr Thulas Nxesi, MP, who is also its host, since the inaugural conference in 2013.
Some of the highlights of the 4th Project and Construction Management Professions Conference include:
1. Minister of Public Works will host an Ambassadorial Session, on the 28 October 2016, dealing with cooperative relationships between South Africa and other African countries on Infrastructure Development to ignite economic growth and create the much needed jobs.
2. At the Gala Dinner of this Conference, on the 27 October 2016, the Minister of Public Works will also inaugurate the Presidential Forum which will include the SACPCMP President together with Presidents of recognised Voluntary Associations. This Forum will coordinate efforts of both the public and private sectors in promoting the use of registered professionals.
3. There will also be a session wherein property development companies show their role in contributing to the realisation of the NDP, Vision 2030 through their infrastructure development. This is one of the biggest sectors which also use the services of professionals and construction companies to develop infrastructure through private sector investment.
