CESA’s YPF represented at the FIDIC Global Infrastructure Conference

Our YPF Chairperson, Uzair Osman, attended the FIDIC Global Infrastructure Conference 2024, held in Geneva, Switzerland. The conference, which took place from 8-10 September 2024, brought together 600 representatives from 50 countries. Osman participated in both the Future Leaders Conference and the main event, where he engaged in meaningful discussions and extensive networking with engineers, clients, and legal professionals from around the world.

Key sessions explored the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in addressing complex engineering challenges, while sustainability and people-focused engineering were emphasised. The conference highlighted the necessity for engineering solutions that not only drive progress but also safeguard the environment and prioritise the well-being of communities.

Osman described the conference as an eye-opening experience, shedding light on global industry trends and challenges such as staff retention, communication barriers across generations, and the inclusion of neurodivergent individuals in the workforce. “The insights gained at the conference underscored the importance of global collaboration in solving shared challenges,” he remarked. “It was an invaluable experience for all participants.”
