Engineering excellence spotlighted as CESA launches 2025 industry awards
South Africa’s infrastructure is at a crossroads. With growing demand, aging systems, and pressing service delivery challenges, the country’s future depends on bold engineering solutions and fresh innovation. Against this backdrop, Consulting Engineers South Africa (CESA) announced the launch of the CESA Aon Engineering Excellence Awards 2025, set for 21 August 2025, at Vodacom World, in Midrand.
These awards are not just about celebrating great design – they are about recognising the engineers and projects that are actively unlocking economic growth and improving essential services across the nation. Infrastructure development remains a key driver of South Africa’s economy, and these awards shine a light on how engineering excellence is critical to overcoming the barriers holding the country back.
Chris Campbell, CEO of CESA, says: “The reality is that without functioning infrastructure, economic progress stalls and service delivery is impacted. Our engineers are delivering solutions that power businesses, connect people, and improve lives. The awards highlight those real-world successes that are helping South Africa move forward.”
Hosted in partnership with Aon South Africa, the Platinum Title Sponsor, the awards continue a legacy of recognising innovation and collaboration that drive impactful infrastructure project.
Dr. Nolwandle Mgoqi, CEO of Aon South Africa, adds: “Aon takes pride in its long-standing partnership with CESA, championing innovation and engineering excellence in South Africa through tailored risk management solutions that promote the sustainability and growth of the industry.”
As the country looks to rebuild and expand its infrastructure, the CESA Aon Engineering Excellence Awards 2025 will spotlight the engineering talent and projects that are shaping the future of service delivery and economic development.
