CESA signs MoU with Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild to support the recovery of Ukraine

Cape Town, South Africa – 22 September  2025 – Consulting Engineers South Africa (CESA) and the Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild (ICEG) of Ukraine have formally signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration and create opportunities for joint performance between South African and Ukrainian companies in support of Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction.

The signing took place in Cape Town, at the International Federation of Consulting Engineers’ (FIDIC) Global Infrastructure Conference, with CESA President, David Leukes, and ICEG President, Oleksandr Nepomnyashchyy, formalising the agreement.

The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation that aligns with FIDIC’s global aspiration to improve quality of life and promote the highest international standards in procurement, design, construction, and asset management across the built and natural environment.
