Mandela Day Outreach with Kinship – Ekuthuleni School, Inanda
In the spirit of Nelson Mandela’s legacy and commitment to service, the CESA YPF in KwaZulu-Nata (KZN) team proudly partnered with the Kinship Programme for a Mandela Day outreach initiative at Ekuthuleni School in Inanda.
The visit, held on 17 July 2025, brought together young engineering professionals with the goal of uplifting and engaging with learners in a meaningful way. Volunteers spent the morning interacting with the learners through games, collaborative painting activities, and planting initiatives within the school’s grounds.
These moments of connection allowed for the fostering of empathy, creativity, and a sense of community – aligning closely with the ethos of both CESA YPF and Mandela Day.
This initiative not only emphasised the importance of giving back but also reminded us as professionals of the transformative power of kindness, time, and shared humanity.
The CESA YPF KZN team is grateful to the Kinship Programme for facilitating the visit, and to the educators and learners of Ekuthuleni School for welcoming us so warmly.
As we continue to build infrastructure across the country, we remain committed to also building relationships – one act of service at a time.
