Our commitment to innovation and excellence was highlighted at the IMESA CESA Excellence Awards, held at the East London ICC. Our President, David Leukes, delivered an inspiring address, reflecting on our 2025 theme, “Collaborating for the Future We Want: Mobilising for Sustainable Development,” and celebrating the engineers and municipal officials who are “strengthening communities and improving lives.”  

He emphasised that infrastructure is not an end, but a catalyst for dignity, safety, and opportunity, calling for greater collaboration across all stakeholders to engineer a better South Africa and protect lives and livelihoods.
