In February, we presented a three-day FIDIC Contracts and Agreements 2017 Edition Workshop for the Engineering Professions  Association of Namibia (EPA), at the Arebbusch Travel Lodge, in Windhoek. 

Tailored for construction and engineering professionals in the public and private sector, the CPD course covered key principles, updates and practical applications of these globally recognised contracts. 

Alongside expert-led sessions by SCE’s trainer, Gavin Weiman, the course looked at insightful case studies and allowed for interactive discussions. Participants gained the knowledge to draft, negotiate and manage FIDIC agreements with confidence. They also learned strategies to navigate complexities, mitigate risks and resolve disputes effectively. 

EPA President Gert Cloete welcomed attendees, who consisted of consulting engineers, employers and contractors, who left equipped with the knowledge and tools to ensure successful project delivery and compliance with international standards.
