Connecting with the water sector at WISA Conference 2026
From 22-24 July, we participated in the WISA Conference 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, connecting with stakeholders and engaging with developments across South Africa’s water sector.
The conference provided an opportunity for us, together with our CESA School of Consulting Engineering (SCE), to engage with industry professionals and showcase the role of the consulting engineering profession in supporting resilient and sustainable water infrastructure.
Many of our member firms were also represented at the conference, showcasing their expertise, innovation and contribution to the development of the water sector.
Our participation provided valuable opportunities to connect with members and industry stakeholders, explore potential areas of collaboration and engage with the conversations shaping the future of water infrastructure in South Africa.
As part of our participation, we also gave one delegate the opportunity to win a free CPD course through our School of Consulting Engineering (SCE). Congratulations to Xolani Dladla from Zululand District Municipality, who was selected as our winner.
With water infrastructure and professional development at the heart of many of the conversations at WISA, the conference also provided an opportunity to highlight some of the specialised water-focused training available through our SCE training calendar. These include:
- Fundamentals of Drinking Water Quality and Treatment
- Drinking Water Treatment Technologies and Applications
- Design, Optimisation and Troubleshooting of Drinking Water Treatment Plants
- Water Safety Planning from Catchment to Consumer
- Achieving and Sustaining Blue Drop Excellence
- SANS 241: 2025
- Applied Hydraulic Design for Water & Wastewater Systems
These courses form part of the 29 specialised courses we offer across Water, Wastewater, Safety, and Specialist & Supporting disciplines, supporting professionals to strengthen their skills and stay up to date with developments across the sector.
We thank everyone who connected with our team at WISA 2026 and contributed to a valuable week of engagement and knowledge sharing.
