Retaining South Africa’s Young Engineers
Our CEO, Chris Campbell, was interviewed live on eNCA, on 30 June 2025, on DStv Channel 403, where he unpacked the critical issue of retaining young engineering talent in South Africa, with Gareth Edwards on the “Today” show. With many young graduates drawn to opportunities abroad or to more economically developed provinces or cities in South Africa, Chris explored what it takes to make South Africa, especially our local municipalities and under-resourced regions, a place where young engineers choose to stay, thrive, and build. New neuroscience course launched
We have introduced a Neuroscience in Leadership programme that leverages the latest breakthroughs in neuroscience to simplify and strengthen leadership skills. Our training facilitator Ian Rheeder notes that neuroscience has allowed us to focus on the new basics and produce a leadership system that is intuitive and easier to implement. Without the TEC Leadership System, examining ourselves as leaders is extremely difficult. What an incredible day of soccer, camaraderie, and team spirit! The CESA YPF KZN Soccer Tournament, held on 11 April 2025, was a resounding success and truly one for the books. The event was expertly organised through the dedicated efforts of Shenelle Sudhama, Vishay Sudhama, Danique Odayan, KZN Chairperson Mishqah Hussain, and Vice Chairperson Ashlan Ganass. Southern African Transport Conference
Our CEO, Chris Campbell, attended the Southern African Transport Conference (SATC) 2025, held at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria, from 7-10 July. This year’s theme, “Mobility Solutions to Southern African Challenges,” set the tone for critical conversations shaping the region’s transport future. Chris joined an insightful panel discussion on 7 July titled: “Improve Decision Making: What is the Cost of Indecision?” alongside Mr Nazir Alli, Past President of the World Road Association; A Robinson from SANRAL; and Johan Brink from Innovative Transport Solutions (ITS) Global – also a CESA member firm. Chris also met with Chrisen Consulting, one of our member firms exhibiting at the SATC (pictured).
