On June 6, 2024, young professionals gathered for the CESA YPF Eastern Cape Branch – Engineering Consultants Cocktail, a vibrant networking event. Attendees were inspired by guest speaker Professor Akinola Ikudayisi, who delivered an insightful presentation on The Power of Collaboration in Engineering. His impactful message emphasized the importance of teamwork in driving innovation and success. The event was made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of Strata BlueStar, who also presented valuable insights on financial planning and insurance through Thomas Tilney. 3. CESA Gqeberha Branch Function – Leadership for a Sustainable Future.

The CESA Gqeberha Branch Function highlighted the importance of diverse and collaborative leadership in the engineering sector. Facilitated by MC Itumeleng Sethlabane, the event featured compelling talks, including David-F Leukes, CESA President, on “A Call for Diverse and Collaborative Leadership” and Marlize Nel-Verwey, SANRAL Project Engineer, on “SANRAL’s Community Development Projects “A robust Q&A session, moderated by CEO Christopher Campbell, addressed national infrastructure challenges and solutions, fostering an environment of learning and collaboration.

4. Professional Development Webinar – Innovation in Engineering

The CESA YPF Border Kei EC hosted a Professional Development and Road to Registration Webinar titled “Navigating through Innovation” on August 2, 2024, at 14:00 via Zoom. The event explored the transformative role of innovation in the engineering industry and provided young professionals with the tools to navigate a rapidly evolving landscape. The webinar featured Tholi Biyela from the Nelson Mandela Metro Energy Department, showcasing regional innovation.
